FEE ECOCAMPUS FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the FEE EcoCampus programme! Since its evolution to continue the legacy of Eco-Schools into tertiary level education, FEE EcoCampus has expanded to 18 countries worldwide with 183 registered institutions of which 83 are flying the prestigious Green Flag.
ABAAE and FEE, in partnership with the Polytechnic University of Lisbon invite students, academics, facilities staff, administrators, and all involved or interested in the FEE EcoCampus programme to join individuals from other campuses from around the world share your knowledge and experiences at the first International FEE EcoCampus Conference.
JOIN THE CONFERENCE
This conference is run by a FEE EcoCampus, for campuses and will aim to bring together, showcase, and celebrate achievements of the many different dimensions of the FEE EcoCampus programme from around the world. It will also be an opportunity to explore the challenges of greening HEIs, and participate in collaborative sessions to make sure the programme fits for the future.
As hubs for innovation and critical thinking, universities and HEIs are important sites of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and included as part of the UN’s Greening Education Partnership. FEE is co-coordinator of GEP Pillar One which aims that by 2030 ‘All countries will have adopted a green school accreditation scheme with at least 50% schools, colleges, and universities with green accreditation and are operating sustainably’. Greening universities and HEIs requires a ‘whole-institution approach’ to ESD which encompasses not only facilities, but also research, education, governance, community engagement, and innovation. With twenty years of experience in running the FEE EcoCampus programme in a whole-institution approach, our network of universities, colleges and National Opperators represents a vast knowledge-base in greening HEIs.
